FOUNDER OF CAFREAL CHICKEN

Late. Florencio Caetano DCosta encountered Chicken Cafreal in the early 80s. At the time, he was working in the kitchen of the Mandovi Hotel in Panjim.

Today, this richly aromatic, long-marinated fried chicken thats smothered in a spicy, sauce is ubiquitous on restaurant menus across the state and widely known across the world as a signature Goan dish.

OUR FOUNDER

A God Fearing, down to earth man of few words and Great deeds. Always was ready to lend a helping hand to raise people, dealing with their own troubles. Late Florencio Caetano Dcosta Encountered Chicken Cafrealin the early 80s that is around 1983-84. At the time, he was working in the kitchen of the Mandovi Hotel in Panjim. In 1985, the then 24-year-old Mr. Florencio Caetano Dcosta left his job at the Mandovi Hotel and the tavern turned into Florentine. On its menu was Chicken Cafreal. Founder Late Florencio Caetano D’Costa Since 13th July 1985, a date to remember for all as this day FLORENTINE got its name and Registration.

Florentine is home to some of the most appreciated cuisines which include Sea Food. As to be able to cater to a large number of diners, it occupies a favourable location at Saligao. Florentine is a family run business which was, is and will always be carried on for generations to come. Right from The Parents of Florencio, to Him and his Wife Assula Piedade to now his Children. No ingredient Is left behind and No compromise on Quality and Consistency. In his footsteps we at Florentine continue to strive and build the Legendary and Rich Legacy he has created for years to come.
